Police ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed By MARC Train

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police have identified a man struck and killed by a MARC train in Gaithersburg.

Officers say 18-year-old Mario Ernesto Hernandez of Gaithersburg was killed Monday afternoon when he was hit at the Gaithersburg MARC station.

Police say Hernandez was near the tracks, but was had the hood of his jacket on his head, which may have obscured his vision.

Police say the incident is still under investigation.
