Police Charge Man With Attempted Armed Robbery, Handgun Violation

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—City police arrest a 24-year-old after they say she tried to rob a man last weekend.

Upon arrival to the scene, the victim told police that a black male wearing a red sweatshirt and armed with a handgun tried to rob him in the 3000 block of Mayfield Ave.

The suspect, 24-year-old Monte Hendricks, was later spotted and arrested.

Police say they recovered a loaded .357 caliber handgun during the arrest.

Hendricks is charged with attempted armed robbery and handgun violations.

He remains at Central Booking and has a $300,000 bail.
