Morgan State Beats Coppin State 74-72 In OT

BALTIMORE, Md. (AP) -- Andre Horn's 3-pointer sent the game into overtime and his 3 with 54 seconds left helped Morgan State beat Coppin State 74-72 on Saturday to split the season series.

Horne's 3 put the Bears up 72-68 in OT, but Keith Shivers replied with a layup to pull the Eagles within 72-70.

The Bears' Donte Pretlow made a free throw and Coppin State trailed 73-72 on Mufaro Murinda's layup.

Horne made a free throw for a 74-72 lead with 17 seconds left, and then Phillip Carr missed both attempts from the foul line with 7 seconds to go. Shivers missed a 3 at the buzzer.

Horne finished with 19 points, Raeshawn Simpson had 16 with 10 rebounds and Cedric Blossom added 14 points for the Bears (8-20, 6-9 Mid-Eastern Athletic), who entered tied with the Eagles for 10th place.

Terry Harris scored 20 for Coppin State (7-21, 5-10), Josh Treadwell added 17 and Shivers had 12.
