Mike Preston Grades The Ravens 16-13 Win Over The Rams

Mike Preston covers the Ravens and writes a column for the Baltimore Sun sports section.

Mike joined Ed, Steve, Bruce, and Wally and graded the Ravens 16-13 win over the Rams.

Mike started off by grading Joe Flacco giving him a grade of D saying "Joe Flacco played poorly for the first three quarters and at times looked uninterested." As for the running backs Mike gave the a grade of B- saying "the Ravens were having success early in the game with starter Justin Forsett and Buck Allen ran hard after Forsett went down with a broken arm." The receivers and offensive line both received D's from Mike.

On the other side of the ball Mike started by giving the defensive line a grade of A- saying "the Ravens held one of the league's top running backs, Todd Gurley, to 66 yards rushing on 25 carries." The linebackers received a grade of B saying "C.J. Mosley had 12 tackles to lead the Ravens and Courtney Upshaw had five, including the big sack late in the game." And for the secondary Mike gave them a grade of C+ saying "the Rams had no passing game, so the Ravens weren't really challenged."

Mike gave the special teams a grade of D+ saying "this group's play has become sloppy in the past two weeks, especially with the number of penalties." And finally the coaching staff received a grade of D with Mike saying "there are times when they can't get the right personnel onto and off the field, and it appears they are close to self-destructing."
