Maryland-Eastern Shore Beats Fordham 72-66

NEW YORK (AP) -- Mike Myers scored 20 points, including a pair of clutch free throws, as Maryland-Eastern Shore hung on to beat Fordham 72-66 on Saturday.

The Hawks (2-6) led start-to-finish to break a four-game skid, but Fordham (1-4) didn't make it easy while losing its fourth straight.

Maryland-Eastern Shore stretched a 32-26 halftime led to as many as 12 points only to have Fordham catch up and lurk within a couple of baskets for much of the final period.

After Christian Sengfelder scored, closing the Rams to 67-64 with 1:23 to play, Fordham missed four of its next five shots, including three 3-pointers.

Myers, Dominique Elliott and Devin Martin went 5 for 6 at the foul line in the last 37 seconds. Elliott and Ryan Andino each scored 12. The Hawks shot 52 percent, including six 3-pointers.

Eric Paschall paced Fordham with 25 points, but the Rams hit 4 of 17 3-pointers.
