MECHANICSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- During Tuesday's storms, a lightning strike caused a fire at a Mechanicsville home.
The incident happened just after 5 p.m.
The person inside and a family pet escaped unharmed.
The fire caused a total of about $1 million in damage to the house.
