DC Police: Body Found Believed To Be Missing Man

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metropolitan Police say a body found in Prince George's County is believed to be that of former District of Columbia treasurer Lasana Mack, who was reported missing.

Police said Tuesday evening that a man's body was found Saturday in Chillum. Officers say the Prince George's County Police Department is conducting a death investigation, and has not confirmed the identity of the man.

But D.C. police said it is believed to be the 51-year-old Mack, who was reported missing on Sept. 15.

Mack served as treasurer from 2005-2012. He most recently was the founder and executive director of a non-profit financial company.
