Carroll Co. Sheriff's Office Searching For Home Invasion Robbery Suspect

CARROLL COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)--The Carroll County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man they say forced his way into a home and robbed two people on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened just before 2:00 p.m. in the 5200 block of Equestrian Drive, in Sykesville.

According to investigators, the suspect knocked on the front door when he was greeted by an 86-year-old woman. The woman called down to the basement for her 60-year-old son when the authorities say the suspect put on a mask and robbed the victims at gun point.

The suspect--who fled with an undisclosed amount of cash-- is described as a white man in his 30's, approximately 6-foot, weighing 220 pounds, wearing a dark colored t-shirt, black knit mask, brown work style boots and a gray book bag.

The sheriff's office says they are searching for a possible dark colored older model Ford F-150 that was observed in the area.

The victims were not injured in this incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to call authorities at 410-386-5900.
