Bus Driver Killed After Being Pinned By Vehicle

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Metro officials say a bus driver was killed when her vehicle pinned her against a wall at a Maryland shopping center.

It happened about 3:40 p.m. Monday at the White Oak shopping center in Silver Spring. A spokeswoman for Metro says the driver left the bus during a break between trips. The spokeswoman says the bus rolled from its position and trapped the driver against a wall. No passengers were on board.

Metro officials say the driver died at a local hospital.
