Bucknell Edges Loyola 55-53

BALTIMORE, Md. (AP) -- Cameron Ayers scored 22 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with 17 seconds left, to put Bucknell over Loyola (Md.) 55-53 on Wednesday night.

Bucknell went 11-4 to start and held Loyola to just 14 first-half points. But the Greyhounds opened the second period with a 28-7 run to lead by seven, 42-35, with 10:04 to play.

With the Bison trailing by one, Ayers sank a 3-pointer with 17 seconds on the clock to put Bucknell back on top for the win.

John Azzinaro came off the bench to add 12 points for the Bison (13-13, 8-7 Patriot). Dom Hoffman scored 10 with eight rebounds.

The Bison had 16 turnovers during the game, 10 of which came as steals by the Greyhounds.

Jarred Jones and Jordan Latham scored 13 points apiece for the Greyhounds (10-16, 5-10), who have now lost four in a row.
