Student Stabbed At Glen Burnie High School During Fight; Two People In Custody

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) — Two people are in custody after a student was stabbed during a fight that happened during a lunch period and class at Glen Burnie High School Thursday, police said.

In a letter to Glen Burnie High School families, the principal said a fight began outside their Media Building involving three girls, one of whom stabbed one of the other students.

Two staff members intervened and separated the students in a minute or two. Two other staff members, including the principal and the school resource officer, arrived after to help. When they realized the student had been stabbed, they immediately summoned paramedics.

Other students were put in their classrooms and they placed the school on lockdown.

Police arrested two of their students in connection with the fight.

Police said the injuries are non-life-threatening.
