Top Democrat visits Kurds to "rebuild" relations, slams Trump
Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Adam Smith, a Democrat, was in northern Iraq to meet Kurdish leaders and to "begin to rebuild" U.S. credibility in the region. He told CBS News' Charlie D'Agata he doesn't know why President Trump "would say something so stupid, that is so wrong," about U.S. policy in Syria.
