Flight 8501 was a relatively new Airbus 320. It was delivered to AirAsia in 2008, straight from the production line. The jet is typically used for shorter flights like the two-hour trip it was supposed to complete on Sunday from Indonesia to Singapore. Jeff Pegues reports.
