MoneyWatch: Consumer sentiment tumbles; Lehman to pay billions

According to a report from the University of Michigan/Thomson Reuters index, consumer sentiment fell to a nine-month low. Also, Lehman Brothers will pay out more than $4 billion starting next month to unsecured creditors who lost money as a result of the company's bankruptcy.
