Former graffiti artist scales new heights
Cuban-American painter Jose Parla, a former street artist, is now much in demand for his huge murals and mixed-media works, which he calls direct descendants of the graffiti of his youth. Rita Braver profiles the Brooklyn-based artist, and talks to him about his large-scale work that now graces the lobby of One World Trade Center in New York City.
