Family petitions for release of unapproved drug to help sick son
A Virginia family is petitioning drug company, Chimerix, to release the brincidofovir drug they believe can help save the life of their son, Josh, who is fighting an adenovirus infection after surviving four bouts of cancer. So far, the company has denied the family's request. WTVR-TV's Wayne Covil reports.
