Asiana crash: Firefighters focused on fire, not what was outside vehicle, safety officer says
A summary of interviews conducted by the NTSB shows one airport safety officer described firefighters at the scene of the Asiana crash “all jockeying for position and looking at the fire, not what was outside their vehicle.” The coroner says Ye Meng Yuan, 16, actually survived the plane crash, but was killed by a fire truck that accidently ran her over.
