6/26: High court makes history; a disappearing island

In a 5-4 ruling, the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, a law that denied federal benefits to married same-sex couples; and, in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay, Smith Island is only reachable by boat. While the area used to be booming, the population and habitable area on the island is dwindling.
