Xanax Stolen from Mom's Bra by Son, in Bizarre "Medicine Chest" Caper, Say Cops

Charlie Boyd (Memphis Police Department)

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (CBS/AP) It must be hard to get a good night's sleep when your son is stealing your anti-anxiety pills...from your bra!

That's what a Memphis mother who called police said was happening at her house, when she awoke before dawn last Wednesday.

The mother told police she found her son -- who's 28 -- pilfering Xanax from her bra, where she kept it precisely to prevent him from stealing it.

The Commercial Appeal reported police found 28-year-old Charlie Boyd hiding under a neighbor's sport utility vehicle after his mom turned him in.

Police said Boyd had 22 Xanax pills, 15 of which were wrapped in toilet paper and hidden in his sock. They said a search of Boyd's room turned up other drugs and drug paraphernalia.

He was jailed Thursday with bond set at $40,000.
