(CBS) HUNTINGTON BEACH - Winnie the Pooh gets a traffic ticket.

Perhaps we should add that adventure to author A.A. Milne's collection about the lovable bear after a report by CBS Los Angeles that a man in a "Pooh" body suit got stopped by police in Huntington Beach, Calif., and cited for having expired tags.

Boo-hoo Pooh.

The "bear" was stopped Sunday by an Officer Baker, according to the police department's Facebook page.

The post about the encounter noted that after getting a fix-it ticket, Pooh left "with his honey pot."

As of 6 p.m. Monday, the post had more than 760 likes - although some Huntington Beach residents took umbrage at "Poor Pooh" being stopped.

To the resident who posted, "Pooh is a friend of mine. He didn't deserve a ticket," the police shot back, "When you see someone putting on his Big Boots, you can be pretty sure that an Adventure is going to happen," A.A. Milne, author "Winnie-The-Pooh."

Unbearable, yes?
