Heichel was last seen leaving her apartment at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday heading to her job at a Gresham Starbucks about five minutes away, Gresham police said. She never arrived at work, and her husband reported her missing around 10 a.m.

Detectives confirmed that her ATM card was used at a nearby gas station several hours later, but additional details were not available. Heichel's 1999 Ford Explorer was later spotted sitting in a Walmart parking lot with a broken front passenger-side window.

Police said that forensic experts with the Oregon State Police crime lab were brought in to process the vehicle and detectives are searching for clues in her disappearance.

Heichel is 5-foot-2 and weighs about 120 pounds. Anyone who may have seen Heichel is asked to call the Gresham Police Tip Line at 503-618-2719.
