Weekend Music Round-Up: kick shoes off edition

(CBS News) Has anyone else just been having "one of those weeks?" It's a good thing the weekend has finally arrived and we can all kick our shoes off and finally relax for a bit, which just so happens to be the inspiration for this week's Weekend Music Round. And we're going get the tunes started this week with a mix of classic, classy, dash of jazzy and little twist of sexy and dangerous in the form of Ivy Levan's music video for her song "Money" above.

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love the blend of classic black-and-white, femme fatale and nod to film noir set to vocals and a beat that totally has your head bobbing!

Up next, we add a bit of color to our musical palate with a somewhat non-traditional lyrics music video for Avicii's song "Wake Me Up." Go ahead and put the definition on the highest setting possible and take in wonderful time-lapse set to a song that will really soothe below.

And now that I have you in a state of calm and tranquility... it's time to add two auditory and visual shots of espresso into the mix! (Since it is the weekend now.) For our focus on creative with music to match this week, I seriously couldn't decide between two items. They both fit the bill, with extremely trippy, yet totally mesmerizing, visuals and seriously upbeat sound styles. So let's call it a tie, with both them and us winning this week, and start off with the music video for "Jumbo" from A-Trak (featuring Galantis) directed by Jason Miller below that is a serious "slam dunk."

I mentioned a tie, and swear I didn't lie. But we shift from basketball and cheerleaders to kids in costumes and something of a surreal nod to the children's classic "Where the Wild Things Are." Click play to take in Postino's music video for their song "I Love It" directed by Will Kindrick at the bottom. And get ready to immediately follow suit with the song's title as you watch and listen.

On that note, I hope you're having a great summer so far, have an awesome upcoming weekend, and keep coming back to The Feed for all your viral (and music) video needs!
