Weather is rainfall with chance of giant spider

(CBS News) While typically pretty focused and serious-minded, the live nature of television news opens the door for some very funny and interesting surprises. (Exhibits ABC and D can be clicked as just a few examples for consideration.) For instance, I'm sure not many people were aware in Canmore that the weather was looking to be rainfall... with a chance of giant spider!

Bring an umbrella and run for your very lives! The scary intruder's "big" appearance during a live weather report was posted by Global BCTV who write:

Meteorologist Kristi Gordon was surprised by a spider on the weather camera as she did her Noon News forecast.

Just a hunch, but I think Kristi may suffer from a bit of arachnophobia. (But who doesn't if they ever watched the 1990 film by the same phobia name?) Major props go out to Kristi for alerting the world of the impending giant spider threat and, more seriously, for showing a wonderful sense of humor by having this post online to be shared and enjoyed by the Internet at large along with all of us here at The Feed! And to check out more videos and weather (that are probably less spider-focused) from Global BCTV, be sure to visit their YouTube page by clicking here.
