Watch: Seth MacFarlane jokes while announcing Oscar nominees

Oscar host Seth MacFarlane was all smiles as he cracked jokes and introduced the nominees for the 85th Academy AwardsThursday morning. The "Family Guy" creator hosted a crowd in Beverly Hills to reveal the much-anticipated nominations.

But he didn't do it alone.

"Here to help me out, since there's nothing creepier than a guy standing by himself in Hollywood at five in the morning, is the lovely and talented Emma Stone," MacFarlane quipped, introducing the young starlet who helped co-host the announcement ceremony.

MacFarlane himself is up for an award this year. His foulmouthed teddy bear buddy comedy "Ted" was nominated for best original song, "Everybody Needs a Best Friend."
