Watch the first promo for "Kardashians" Bruce Jenner special

The Kardashians are getting candid in this new look at their upcoming TV special about Bruce Jenner.

The first promo for "Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce" was released Friday, showing the former Olympian and his family as they go through his transition from male to female.

"I don't think I've ever been as scared in my life as I was to be extraordinarily honest with my kids," Jenner admits in the 60-second clip.

His daughter, Kendall, also says through tears, "I just don't like when people say Bruce is gonna be gone."

"I'm not going anywhere," Jenner tells her.

"I do want to meet 'her,' when he is ready -- when we're both ready," adds youngest daughter Kylie, 17, speaking about Bruce's female identity.

The promo features home video footage of the family over the years, including Bruce's wedding to Kris Jenner, moments of Kendall and Kylie Jenner as little girls and older sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian as teenagers.

"Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce" will air over two nights -- on Sunday, May 17, and Monday, May 18 -- at 9 p.m. ET on E!
