Watch a baby elephant get rescued from a well (using a rope and a Land Rover)

(CBS News) Stop what you're doing this instant! This is one of those things that has to be seen to be believed. Watch a baby elephant get rescued from a well in the video above. There's a bit of a build-up, but it's well worth it.  And I'd recommend watching in high-definition if possible.

The caught-on-tape moment was posted by The Amboseli Trust For Elephants who writes about it:

We rescued this young eight months old calf early this week. Luckily the report came in early in the morning and we were able to get there quick before the mother was forced to leave by herders arriving to water their cattle. It was a happy ending as we were able to reunite the calf with her mother, Zombe.

So were you all freaked out that the mother elephant, Zombe, would end up charging at and attacking the rescue team, too? That is some seriously fascinating nature in action there that has earned this team a big triple-rainbow salute of amazing from us here at The Feed!
