Washington city "cuts cheese" as Seahawks square off against Packers

Some Seattle fans aren't messing around when it comes to football
Washington town bans cheese ahead of Green Bay-Seattle matchup 00:59

In the NFL playoff season, fandom knows no boundaries. Witness the city of Bainbridge Island, Washington: their Seattle Seahawks face off Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, and as preparation for the game, the town's manager has banned cheese - a reference to Packers fans' collective moniker, "cheeseheads."

City Manager Doug Schulze issued an executive order that banned people from eating or even possessing cheese inside City Hall on Friday. It's a "Blue Friday," a day when Seahawks fans usually rally before a weekend game.

The order reads: "Due to the relationship between the Green Bay Packers, their fans, and cheese, the possession of and/or consumption of cheese or cheese flavored products shall be banned in Bainbridge Island City Hall on Friday, January 16, 2015."

This comes after a Milwaukee station announced they'd be banning all music from Seattle.
