VIDEO: Man punches boy, 8, to ground for iPad
MINNEAPOLIS - A security camera outside a restaurant in Minneapolis captured a man punching an 8-year-old boy to the ground so that he could steal his iPad.
Aaron Stillday, 32, was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated robbery in the incident. Police caught him after a Good Samaritan chased him down, reports CBS Minnesota.
"Poor kid," Mohammad Armeli, head chef at the restaurant who chased the robber for more than a half-mile as he called 911, told the station. "I can't believe it, the blood was all over his face. Could have broken his nose."
"This is the scum of the earth," Armeli continued. "You cannot hit a child like that. Don't hit him for his iPad, or for anything."
The iPad was shattered in the commission of the robbery - but the 8-year-old boy's sister told the station the family took the shattered iPad to an Apple store, along with video of the incident, and they were given new one.
