SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) Jamal "Millione" Trulove made quite an impression when he started a fight and got booted from the VH1 reality show "I Love New York 2" in the first episode. Unfortunately for him, that impression helped San Francisco police catch and charge him with murder.

San Francisco prosecutors say on July 23, 2007, Trulove shot and killed 28-year-old Seu Kuka in the Sunnydale public housing project when Kuka was chasing Trulove's brother during a fight, according to The San Francisco Chronicle.

Just two weeks before the murder, Trulove, going by the name "Millione," appeared as one of fifteen or so suitors vying for the affections of Tiffany "New York" Pollard.

Trulove was among five contestants selected for the show in an Internet vote after submitting an audition tape. In the first episode, however, he got into a loud argument with another contestant during the meet-and-greet with Pollard, who promptly dismissed him as a romantic candidate.

The episode aired in October 2007 and when the prosecution's sole eyewitness saw him she called authorities, which they say helped to back up her original identification of Trulove as the killer.
