Travels With Harry

Air travel in America has turned yet even more bizarre with new guidelines from the TSA.
Yes, kids, you can bring liquids on planes again — provided you make sure they are in containers of three ounces or less and those containers are enclosed in a clear plastic bag not to exceed one quart in volume.
I know it sounds ridiculous. But as a flyer, and sometime frequent flyer, who hates to check bags, this ruling really does improve my life immeasurably. On my last few trips, the hotel gift shop made a small fortune on my purchases of toothpaste and mouthwash — which, of course, I didn't take with me because I couldn't put them in my carry-on bag.
It really illustrates how far we have come as travelers. We will do anything, no matter how humiliating or ridiculous, to get through the line faster and not have to check a bag.
I can't wait to go to the airport, shoes off, plastic bag in left hand, ticket in my right hand and a smile on my face — the terrorists' worst enemy.
