Throwing spear at moving car gets man arrested, say Sacramento police

(CBS/AP) SACRAMENTO - A man threw a spear at a moving car in Sacramento and was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, although police say no one was hurt in the Tuesday incident, according to CBS Sacramento.

Published reports said that the spear was lodged in the car after hitting its front fender.

Police said a witness called them Tuesday night to report a man standing in the road throwing a spear at a passing vehicle. Officers say that man is 56-year-old Jeffrey Allen Jones.

It was not immediately clear what the spear was made of or where it came from.
