Three brothers charged with killing stepfather in Maryland

PORT DEPOSIT, Md. - Three brothers are now being charged with killing their stepfather over five months ago in Maryland, reports CBS Baltimore. Two of the boys charged are just 11 and 14 years old.

Maryland State Police said 47-year-old Vincent Robertson was murdered inside a mobile home Feb. 17 in Port Deposit, part of Cecil County. According to the station, the victim lived in the home with his wife and her five children. Alishawaine Monk, 23, and Willie Lee Woodberry, 14, allegedly gunned down their stepfather with the help of their 11-year-old brother, who is not being identified, authorities said.

Woodberry and Monk are facing second-degree murder charges. Monk is also charged with drug violations. Their 11-year-old brother is being charged as a juvenile, and Maryland authorities are now working to bring him back from Philadelphia, where he was found staying with relatives.

"It's just crazy," neighbor Dante Boyd told CBS Baltimore. He said he has lost sleep worrying about his own family since the crime was committed.

The crime was initially reported as a medical call, according to the station. "When EMS personnel responded, they found the victim was already deceased. They also noted what appeared to be a gunshot wound," said Greg Shipley, Maryland State Police.

The station reports an extensive investigation revealed three of the victim's stepsons were responsible for the murder. However, some questions remain unanswered.

"Investigators still don't have a clear motive as to why this occurred," said Shipley.
