Nearly forty years after President Nixon signed the National Cancer Act, America's so called "war on cancer" drags on.

Cancer still claims the lives of more than half a million Americans annually. That's 1,500 people a day.

Tonight, we take a close look at the war on cancer as we continue our special series, "Where America Stands."
