"The Killing" canceled again by AMC

"The Killing" has been killed. Again.

AMC announced Tuesday it will not bring the crime drama back for another season.

"We have made the difficult decision not to move forward with a fourth season of 'The Killing,'" the network said in a statement to Deadline. "We want to thank our great partners at Fox Television Studios, creator Veena Sud, an extraordinary cast and the dedicated fans who watched."

AMC canceled "The Killing" following its second season, but later reversed the decision and resurrected the show as part of a deal with Netflix.

The third season, which stepped away from the drawn-out Rosie Larsen plot from the first two seasons, opened in June with 1.8 million viewers but ended with 1.5 million tuning in for the season finale.
