"The Host" teaser trailer released

(CBS News) A teaser trailer has surfaced for "The Host," the big-screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's 2008 (non-"Twilight" series) sci-fi novel.

Actress Saoirse Ronan plays Melanie Stryder, a human whose body has been invaded by an alien from the "Souls" race. In the trailer, Ronan's eyes are glowing. The voiceover explains, "The earth is at peace ... The world has never been more perfect ... It is no longer your world."

The movie, which hits theaters March 29, 2013, also stars Diane Kruger and William Hurt.
