Tea Leoni and David Duchovny separate

(CBS) Actor David Duchovny and his wife, actress Tea Leoni, have separated.

A rep for "The X-Files" star confirmed the split to E! News on Tuesday.

Sources told TMZ that the actors are "taking time apart," but have not yet decided whether to file for divorce.

Duchovny, 50, and Leoni, 45, married in 1997 and have two children together.

The pair separated briefly in 2008, the same year that Duchovny entered rehab for sex addiction, but they later reconciled.
