Taliban Denies Kabul Attack Was Planned in Pakistan
The militant Afghan Taliban movement denied in an Internet statement that the attack against the Afghan ministry of Justice had been plotted in Pakistan as an Afghani intelligence official had claimed. The statement was signed by the group's spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, who said that the operation had been planned inside Afghanistan and was carried out by Afghan fighters from the Alhamza Mayeterdom Kandak Battalion.
"None of those taking part in this operation have been detained or martyred. The perpetrators of the operation returned safely and are now preparing for more attacks," Mujahid said, adding that the Taliban would very soon prove this argument with yet another striking operation.
