"Sons of Anarchy" Star Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Police Officer
Mark Hiedrich (FX Networks)

NEW YORK (CBS) Someone should have yelled "Cut!" to "Sons of Anarchy" star Mark Hiedrich; the small screen biker baddie allegedly assaulted a police officer during a routine traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

The officer didn't connect with the actor's apparent method acting, and law enforcement officials were called in for backup. Hiedrich was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer and resisting arrest, reports E! Online.

Hiedrich - who also goes by Mark Boone, Jr. - was booked into jail in Glendale, Calif., reports TMZ.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were the cause of the actor's alleged fury, though some speculate that Hiedrich's outburst was aptly timed, given that the third season of the FX drama is slated to premiere in the coming weeks.

Hiedrich was released from custody after posting a $20,000 bail, according to TMZ.
