"Skyfall": New full-length trailer released

Daniel Craig in "Skyfall" Sony Pictures

(CBS News) A new dark and action-packed trailer offers a glimpse into the upcoming James Bond film, "Skyfall," starring Daniel Craig.

In the 23rd installment, Bond's loyalty to M is tested, and as MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat.

Pictures: James Bond's back in "Skyfall"

The plot unfolds some more thanks to a few clues clues from the full-length trailer, which clocks in at 2:33.

"Three months ago, you lost the drive containing the identity of every agent embedded in terrorist organizations across the globe," Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes) tells M (Judi Dench).

At one point, it appears as though James Bond (Craig) dies (or just fakes his own death), only to "resurrect" for more spy drama.

The trailer shows Javier Bardem as the villain, Silva, as well as the return of Q, portrayed by actor Ben Whishaw.

Directed by Sam Mendes, "Skyfall" also stars Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Helen McCrory, Rory Kinnear and Albert Finney.

"Skyfall" hits theaters Nov. 9.
