Face The Nation Short take: Voices from Clinton's launch event June 13, 2015 / 5:18 PM EDT / CBS News Hillary Clinton, and she should have been president in 2008. I'm glad Barack Obama is president but it took me a long time to get over that fact, she had 17 million votes in 2008, she should have been president...I'll tell you what got me there. I was visiting a friend in the northeast of brazil, in a little tiny state, and we went to visit a slave museum in the North east of brazil and nobody spoke English, I didn't speak Portuguese, and the young woman taking us around, she only knew Barack Obama. He was the face of America. And that got me there. And I like took a deep breath and I said OK you know he has my support, I voted for him twice. But it took a long time. ----Joan Brooks A photo posted by @jfdickerson on Jun 13, 2015 at 1:05pm PDT " I think it's more of a, like, hey I'm here, kind of like welcome to the city kind of thing. We live in Brooklyn, so we're excited to have her headquartered in Brooklyn. So I think it's more like a welcome party than anything...I think to a certain degree all politicians are a little less transparent than we as a general public would like them to be. So. I'm not expecting too much information, but hopefully at least a nod that, you know I know there's some stuff I need to clear up.--NIck Gilyard and Dominic Spence.
