She said yes! Minneapolis reporter gets engaged on-air

MINNEAPOLIS -- CBS Minnesota reporter Ashley Roberts got more than she bargained for during Tuesday's broadcast of "WCCO Mid Morning."

She was discussing engagement rings and their extravagant costs with her co-hosts when a "fashion expert" named Justin was called onto the set. To her surprise, it turned out to be her boyfriend, KTSP photojournalist Justin McCray.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you," he said, as Roberts teared up. After placing an engagement ring on her finger, which was followed by her excited approval, Roberts still needed a moment.

"Let's roll to commercial," she said, as her colleagues applauded.

Roberts joined WCCO as the morning reporter in November 2014.
