Second woman questioned in the murder of Dallas dentist

DALLAS -- Dallas police are now looking at a second woman in connection with the murder of dentist Kendra Hatcher, reports CBS DFW.

According to the station, newly obtained documents show police recently searched the apartment of the ex-girlfriend of the man Hatcher was dating at the time she was found shot dead.

Police have not made any additional arrests or brought charges against the ex-girlfriend, reports the station, but looked for any evidence inside her apartment.

The apartment is less than two miles away from the parking garage at the Gables Apartments where Hatcher was shot and killed last Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Crystal Cortes, who investigators say was driving the jeep allegedly as the getaway driver, is currently in custody.

According to the documents, Cortes said she, "...conspired with witness ... to drive an unknown male subject to ... commit the offense of robbery against Kendra Hatcher," reports the station. After the exchange of Hatcher's license, Cortes stated she would receive $500.

According to the station, the search warrant also indicates that Cortes said the ex-girlfriend, "...possessed a black i-phone that was used to track the location of the complainant's cell phone..."

Documents also reportedly reveal that Cortes told police that the ex-girlfriend had "...ended a two-year relationship with (Hatcher's) current boyfriend earlier this year."

Hatcher's family did not want to comment regarding the developments, says the station.
