Second Cup Cafe: 4TROOPS

It's Armed Forces week, a time to honor American service men and women at home and overseas.

The band 4TROOPS, made up of four combat veterans who are giving back to fellow veterans and service members, stopped by "The Early Show on Saturday Morning"'s "Second Cup Cafe" to help mark the occasion.

4TROOPS is made up of vets of the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars: Former Capt. Meredith Melcher, Staff Sgt. (Ret.) Ron Henry, former Sgt. David Clemo, and former Sgt. Daniel Jens.

The band performed a hit made famous by Rascal Flatts, "Bless the Broken Road," as well as "Courtesy of the Red White & Blue" (written by country singer Toby Keith).

Their self-titled debut album, which was just released, includes a mix of patriotic and uplifting pop and country songs.

The quartet, who all share a passion for singing, took part in various Army music programs such as "Military Idol" and the "Army Soldiers Show."

Not only does 4TROOPS rock out in honor of its fellow service men and women, it sheds light on the needs of veterans and their families.

Fifty cents from every CD that 4TROOPS sells will go to help organizations aiding veterans of the armed forces (click here to buy one), including The American Legion, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF) and the USO.

In September, 4TROOPS will kick off a 60-city tour.

Armed Forces Week honors Americans serving in all five military branches.
