School shooting: Outpouring of sympathy on Twitter

Police audio recordings from Newtown, Conn., reveal a chaotic scene as a gunman opened fire on students and faculty at Sandy Hook Elementary School in one of the deadliest school shootings in American history. DON EMMERT

Celebrities have taken to Twitter to express their sympathy for those involved in the shooting at a Connecticut elementary school that left dozens of people, many of them children, dead.The gunman also died.

CBS News senior correspondent John Miller said that the death toll was preliminary and likely to change. At least eight adults were killed in the shooting.  At least one teacher was wounded.
