"Saturday Edition" Shows Off-Camera Doings

Viewers of The Early Show Saturday Edition can now enjoy two views of the broadcast -- one of the show itself, the other of off-camera goings-on.

The show initiated the service Feb. 28.

While it's on the air, viewers need only go to the show's Web site to find the link to get in on the behind-the-scenes action.

You can also chat with various show participants.

On Feb. 28, CNET-TV Senior Editor Natali Del Conte guided viewers of the video stream, and moderated the ongoing chat.

They got to see the day's "Chef on a Shoestring," Scott Peacock, of The Watershed Restaurant in Decatur, Ga., go through his paces preparing his fare for the show -- a Southern-style brunch. After his segment, Del Conte got his thoughts on how it went.

She also spoke with other guests, but for the most part, stood back and enabled viewers to get a good look inside the world of live, national TV.

In most markets, The Early Show Saturday Edition airs from seven-to-nine o'clock in the morning.
