As he prepares for the June opening of "Green Lantern," his 3-D comic book adventure, Ryan Reynolds has been making the media rounds.

And he has been fielding - or more aptly, sidestepping - questions about the breakup of his three-year marriage to actress Scarlett Johansson.

The 34-year old Vancouver native insists that the divorce is a private matter and that all the speculation in the press is just that - speculation.

"There was no story and no scandal, so the narrative was just created for me," he said in a rare interview in the June/July issue of Details magazine.

While Johansson has been photographed repeatedly with actor Sean Penn in recent weeks, Reynolds, named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2010, has kept a low profile and says he is not ready to start dating.

The actor, who was one engaged to singer Alanis Morissette, also says he is still working through the pain of divorce and is not sure he will ever marry again.

What Reynolds appears to be dong is throwing himself into his work. In addition to "Green Lantern," he has "The Change-Up" coming out thus year and is now filming "Safe House" with Denzel Washigton in South Africa.

He's signed on to do three more projects, including a cop film with Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges.
