The CBS TV Network is offering full coverage on the progress and impact of Hurricane Rita providing special reports and updates as warranted all weekend.

Here is a look at what is planned in our regular broadcasts:

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • CBS News Saturday Early Show is offering live reports from the hurricane zone. Expect reports from Harry Smith, weatherman Dave Price and our team of correspondents. The extended edition of the show begins at 7 a.m. and ends at noon in some sections of the country.
  • CBS Evening News will have the latest news from correspondents in the field. Expect extensive coverage from both Texas and Louisiana. Check local listings for times.

Sunday, Sept. 25

  • CBS News Sunday Morning will have extensive coverage of the expected damage from the hurricane, and correspondent Martha Teichner shares the history of hurricanes in the United States. The show begins at 9 a.m.
  • CBS News Face The Nation host Bob Schieffer will also offer insight on the latest developments. The show begins at 10:30 a.m.
  • CBS Evening News with Bob Schieffer will continue offering the latest news from correspondents in the hurricane-damaged areas. Check local listings for times.

Monday, Sept. 26
  • The Early Show will have the latest reports from correspondents in the field, and interviews with some of the people responsible for the relief efforts. The show begins at 7 a.m.
