Report: Rapper Young Jeezy accused of attacking his son

ATLANTA, Ga. – Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy turned himself in to authorities after a grand jury warrant was issued for his arrest last Friday for allegedly attacking his teenage son, reports CNN.

Jeezy, real name Jay Wayne Jenkins, posted a $45,000 bond and was released from the Fulton County, Ga., jail later that night.

The 36-year-old is facing felony charges of battery, terroristic threats and false imprisonment, according to sheriff’s spokesman Tracy Flanagan. A court date has been set January 29 in Atlanta.

The alleged incident took place in September 2012 at the rapper’s Atlanta apartment. Jeezy’s son told police that his father, reacting to a text message his son had sent him, slammed the teenager against a sliding shower door and threw him into a bathroom wall.

The report also stated that Jeezy’s bodyguard prevented the boy from running away.

The son told police that Jeezy allegedly pulled him back into the room, choked him and said, “I’ll kill you,” before throwing him onto the floor and kicking him in the head.

Police received a call from the teenager’s mother two days later after he came home with bruises, according to the report.
