Reid: 'Al Franken Has Won The Election'

Never mind the legal challenges in Minnesota, Harry Reid is ready for Sen. Al Franken.

"Al Franken has won the election," Reid just told a gaggle of reporters in the Senate hallway. "Everything is over with."

Republicans will certainly object to any quick seating of Franken in the Senate if Reid makes such a move this week. But the Minnesota canvassing board has certified the Franken victory, and Democrats are running with it. Sen. Norm Coleman is apparently already locked out of his office, but has legal challenges left in the recount.

"The race in Minnesota is over," Reid said.
