Reality TV Re-Enactments
It's sure to fuel the simmering debate over just how real reality TV is.
"Survivor" creator Mark Burnett says he sometimes re-enacts scenes of contests on the hit show.
He tells "The New York Times" that none of the re-enactments affected the outcome of the contests or the show itself.
He says he used stand-ins to re-shoot a river swimming race in "Survivor Two: The Australian Outback."
He says stand-ins were filmed and then mixed in later with shots of the actual race. Burnett says he only used re-enactments when he was lacking camera angles of a given event.
He adds, "I absolutely couldn't care less - I'm making great television."
CBS says it has no problem with Burnett using stand-ins, saying it's only "window dressing."
